In the world of video gaming, car and motor bikes are the real assets despite monsters, ghosts and vampires. To allure gaming aficionados, a new thrilling racing game has been developed and published by Codemasters. The game is dubbed as DiRT 3, which can be player on for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Third in the Dirt series, DiRT 3 offers much larger roster of vehicles and racing teams, including tons of new WRC-licensed content that developers has scored this time. DiRT 3 offers single player as well as multi-player mode to play. The main mode allows players to earn reputation points in various events to gain the interest of sponsors who provide them with new vehicles.
A new, crazy Gymkhana mode has been introduced that puts players in obstacle courses, challenging them to perform various tricks to earn points. In this mode, users are expected to string together 180/360 degree spins, massive drifts and crazy jumps to earn points. The player has to make points and go by different levels to progress through the game.
Another striking attribute is its various party modes, involving events such as smashing wooden targets, spreading a zombie infection, and capture the flag.
Sadly, the excellent graphics are backed by a lackluster soundtrack and voice-overs. Even, the vehicle sounds are equally mediocre. Also, DiRT Tour lacks the usual rally location, which may upset many users. Another glitch that may disappoint users is the offline split-screen multiplayer, with its lack of a cockpit mode.
At a market price of Rs. 699, DiRT 3 is an undeniably satisfying one, rich with excitement and dripping with thrill. However, one can never comprehend the thrill and chaos that unfolds during races unless you play it yourself. So, don’t wait, get your hands on this game if you are a real game enthusiast.
